The poetry ministry of Tim Mighty Servant Austin

For anyone who carries both a calling and a business — and needs a few quiet words to keep going.

For anyone who carries both a calling and a business.

I did not set out to be a poet. I set out to be faithful with what was in front of me.

My name is Tim Mighty Servant Austin. I have spent my working life self-employed, and I have spent that same life trying to follow God. For a long time I treated those as two separate rooms — Sunday over here, the work over there.

They were not separate. The faith I brought to a quiet Sunday was the faith I needed on an ordinary Thursday, when the work was hard and nobody was watching and there was still a family to care for. What I found was that God was not waiting for me at church. He was already in the middle of it.

So I started writing it down. Not sermons, and not a method for a better quarter — just poems. Short ones, mostly. They are honest about the fear and honest about the provision, because both are real and I have lived in both.

I call this a ministry because that is what it is. It is not a business coaching program and I am not selling a system. The poems are free to read. If one of them puts a hand on your shoulder at the right moment, it has done its work.

Who this is for

  • The Godpreneur

You started something because you felt called to it, and now you are learning that obedience and payroll are not the same thing — but they are both yours to carry.

  • The Solopreneur

You are the whole company. The sales call, the invoice, the cleanup, and the prayer at the end of the day all have your name on them.

  • The one in the quiet middle

Nothing is on fire, nothing is thriving. You are just being faithful on an ordinary day, and nobody is clapping. That is the hardest kind of work.

If you would like the poems as they come, write to me and say so.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
